Web Page Design: File Management Quiz #1

As usual, standard test rules are in place for this quiz. You are expected to work independantly. Unless there is a technical problem with your computer, do not ask for help. Do not converse with other students during the quiz, and certainly do not ask them to help you. This is an quiz, not a group project.

Part One: 50 points

  • Open Windows Explorer
  • Navigate to your network folder
  • Create a new folder using the name below
    • firstname_knows_how_to_create_folders_from_windows_explorer
  • Create an image folder inside of this new folder
  • Close Windows Explorer

Part Two: 50 points

  • Open Dreamweaver
  • Choose Site>New Site
  • Click the Advanced tab
  • Name the new site using the name below
    • firstname_knows_how_to_create_a_root_folder_from_dreamweaver
  • Create a Local root folder, and use the name below
    • firstname_knows_how_to_create_a_root_folder_from_dreamweaver
  • Create a Default images folder, and use the usual name
  • Save your work
  • Close Dreamweaver
